Cadets Flying High After BIG Fundrasing Success!

Fundraising within the Cadet program helps us give more to our cadets. One of our biggest fundraising activities is our annual 137 Run, where cadets in small groups run a collective 137km. As a reward for their hard work and dedication in helping out the corps raise funds, this year we added an additional level of reward. In addition to the Tim's Card and gift cards for St Laurent Shopping Mall: a one hour aerial tour of Ottawa, with one of 137s Officer staff, who also happens to be a pilot! All the cadet had to do is raise over a set amount and they would win the flight! This year, we had not one, but THREE cadets achieve over this amount!

Cadets Briere, Mercier, and Rhyne each achieved a personal best while fundraising for our 137 Run (which took place in May 2016), each raising over $500! As a reward they were taken flying by Lt Keller on Monday 13 June 2016 before the regular training night.
